DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE ALASKA BOARD OF GAME The Alaska Board of Game proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 5 of the Alaska Administrative Code\, dealing with the use and taking of game in Game Management Units 9B\, 17A\, 17B\, 17C\, 18\, 19A\, and 19B\, including the following: * 5 AAC 92.111(c) concerning the Mulchatna Caribou Predation Management Area is proposed to be changed to include predator control of brown and black bears in addition to wolves to aid in the recovery of the Mulchatna caribou herd. You may comment on the proposed regulation changes\, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes\, by submitting written comments online to the Alaska Board of Game at https://boardofgame.adfg.alaska.gov. Written comments may also be submitted to the ADF&G Boards Support Section at P.O. Box 115526\, Juneau\, AK 99811-5526. Additionally\, the Board of Game will accept comments by facsimile at (907) 465-6094. The comments must be received not later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday\, July 7\, 2025. DESCRIPTION:The Alaska Board of Fisheries (board) is accepting proposed changes to the subsistence\, personal use\, sport\, guided sport\, and commercial fishing regulations for the Bristol Bay; Arctic\, Yukon\, Kuskokwim; Alaska Peninsula\, Aleutian Islands\, Chignik; and Statewide finfish management areas. Finfish includes salmon\, herring\, trout\, other freshwater finfishes\, and groundfish\, including Pacific cod\, for consideration by the board in its 2025–2026 meeting cycle. The board may also consider subsistence proposals for other topics (including other areas) under the subsistence proposal policy\, 5 AAC 96.615\, if proposals are submitted within this deadline and the board determines they meet the criteria in either 5 AAC 96.615(a)(1) or (2). \nTo ensure the proposal book is finished in advance of the board meetings\, the board sets Thursday\, April 10\, 2025\, as the proposal deadline. \nProposals must be received by Thursday\, April 10\, 2025 at the Boards Support Section office in Juneau. A postmark is NOT sufficient for timely receipt. \nInterested parties are encouraged to submit proposals at the earliest possible date. The Board of Fisheries proposal form\, including the on-line proposal form\, is available at the Boards Support website\, http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=fisheriesboard.forms. SUMMARY:Koyukuk River Fish & Game AC (Meeting/Elections)
DESCRIPTION:The Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet and hold elections on Wednesday\, April 9th\, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Hughes Village Council Office located at 110 Front St. in Hughes\, AK and by web/teleconference. This meeting is open to the public. Voting will be held in person. If you wish to participate in this election remotely/cannot attend the meeting in person\, please contact the regional coordinator a minimum of 24 hours prior to the election meeting. To be eligible to make nominations or vote in an election of a Fish & Game Advisory Committee\, you must be a voting-age resident of the area served by the committee as defined in 5 AAC 96.910(10) and attending the election meeting by web/teleconference. The areas served by the Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee as defined in 5 AAC 97.005 are Game Management Units 21 and 24 and the Upper Yukon River. The Board of Fisheries applies various statutes and policies when considering fisheries allocations and when addressing salmon proposals.
